Roy P. Crocker Professor of Law
My legal passion explores the relationship between social justice, ethics, language and popular culture. Only USC Law would support the kind of work I do.
I wrote and staged a production called "Race, Rap, and Redemption" that featured Ice Cube, Lupe Fiasco, Saul Williams and Mayda del Valle. We used art to explore and illuminate legal issues. The production played to packed houses and was the basis of an undergraduate writing requirement.
The production never would have happened without USC's interdisciplinary emphasis that brought together our world-class schools of Cinema and Television, Journalism and Music.
